Colourful Mother's Day

Hi there, I loved the colours over at Fab Friday & knew I wanted to make a Mother's Day card. In the UK Mother's day is in March & this year it was on Sunday just gone (26th), it was a lovely sunny day too. Here are the colours that inspired me: I had a class last week that focused on the 'Dragonfly Dreams' stamp set & I couldn't resist stamping that bumble bee - I co-ordinated it with the 'Birthday Blooms' stamp set as I wanted the bumble bee to be on a flower & this was just perfect, so here it is: Rather than colouring all of the flower I decided to just have accents with stamping another image of the flower & then using the 1 1/2" & 1" punch, I then got a blender pen & used some ink from the ink pad - so great that you can make a pool of ink by pushing the ink pad to the lid of the ink & voila ink that can be used with a blender pen or aqua painter. GDP 078 - Avant Garden

Hi there,  I was on Facebook &  Kylie Bertucci  posted a picture of her Global Design Project this week & I was inspired to take part. Here is the sketch for this weeks challenge:  I loved the succulent's that Kylie used on her project, so I did something similar with the Avant Garden stamp set - which is a Sale-A-Bration item only available until the end of the month. Here is what I came up with:  I love colour, so I couldn't keep to the original tone-on-tone that Kylie did. But I really love being able to stamp on coloured card-stock. I originally did the spot's in Peekaboo Peach, but it just didn't pop enough on the mint macaron, as soon as I used Island Indigo ink it really popped :D, so I redid it. Here is a close up:  Thanks every so much for popping by & see you soon.  Happy stampin',  X Jessie B X

International Blog Highlights March 2017 - Thanks

Good Evening,  I thought I had the stamp set that is being highlighted in this blog highlights, I was so certain! But could I find the stamp set no, so I still decided to take part in the challenge by using another thank you stamp set instead.  So I've used 'Thoughtful Thanks' but others in the blog highlight will be using the set 'All Things Thanks.' I had a class last week using the 'carried away' designer series paper (dsp), so thought I would show this fab paper off with a bold sentiment, so here is what I created:  I used the stitched framelits to create the circles & ovals using dsp & card-stock, layering on the balloon dsp & mounting it onto soft suede card-stock. I then just added some rhinestones & some black twine for a little texture. Here is a close up:  I hope you have enjoyed looking at this card & will head over to the blog highlights & click that voting button & I may then be i
