Fab Thanks

Hi All!  Hope you are all well!  I thought I would pop in with a card I made at a recent class I held at my home. I used a new stamp set as well as incorporating some good faves. I saw the Fab Friday  colour inspiration: I really wanted to do something with the Daffodil Delight Blendabilities & thought I would use the Mixed Bunch stamp set. I was also inspired to create a lovely background with the Flowering Flourishes Stamp set in Strawberry Slush & Coastal Cabana. So here is what I came up with: Here is a close up of the mixed bunch flowers: I used the solid stamp in the set just inked in Daffodil Delight & then with the Daisy like flower I used the Memento Ink & coloured with the blendabilities,  you can see the gradual colours from light to dark at the tips. On the bottom flower which you can just see in the right hand corner of the photo above I used the light blendabilitie followed by the dark along the dots of the flower.  The

Colour I want! You may have noticed that the colours I have used on the card don't look familiar! Well you are right, I have used 2 of the 2014 - 2016 in colours 'Mossy Meadow' & 'Hello '

Delicate Doilies UK Regional Swap

Recently in the UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrators got together for some training & inspiration. When attending these events many demonstrators make swaps to inspire others with different techniques.  So this is what I came up with:  The photos didn't come out brilliantly! But I was browsing some blog posts just before I went on holiday a few weeks ago & saw  Jen's Page  I really loved what she did so wanted to take part in the sketch & colour challenge that she also took part in so I headed over to  Viva-la-Verve :  I combined some products that are retiring at present in the UK as well as some products from the current spring/summer Catalogue. Do check out what is retiring by clicking on the shop now icon top right. Some products have already sold out, everything is on while stocks lasts.  Here are the products I used: Stamps: Delicate Doilies, Perfect Pennants Inks: Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry & Smoky Slate Paper: Nat

Retro Wetlands

Hi all! I'm on a coach at present on route to Scotland for a much needed holiday! I thought I would do some blogging whilst I have the blogger app. I recently stumbled across the colour challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments : I thought it would be great for a mans birthday card which I needed for a work colleague here is what I came up with: I really enjoyed making this quick & simply card I have only just aquired this Wetlands stamp set so wanted to play with it. I knew I wanted to include a bit of Retro dsp and the Tangerine Tango seemed to be the best!! I used an aqua brush to paint the sunset looking background behind the birds. I then distressed it around the edges with my paper snips to give it some texture. See you back here soon... x Jessie B x Recipe: Stamps: Sketched Birthday, Wetlands Inks: Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, Tangerine Tango Paper: Baked Brown Sugar Card, Coastal Cabana Card, Retro DSP, Very Vanilla Card

Spring Photo!

Hey There!  Thought I'd pop in quickly to show you a swap I did recently. When Demonstrators get together at events, we swap with each sharing inspiration and techniques.  I saw the colours for the Friday Mashup  & wanted to take part, I also paired it with the  Fab Friday  challenge:              Here is what I came up with: I stamped my Secret Garden flowers in Wisteria Wonder & Calypso Coral I then coloured them in using a aqua painter I coloured the petals in. I used Wisteria Wonder & Daffodil Delight on the one I stamped in Calypso Coral. I then coloured the other flower in Calypso Coral I love the light & dark just by using the ink from the lid.   I used Wild Wasabi card stock to cut out the leaves with the Secret Garden framelits & I used the On Film framelits in Pool Party to cut what looks like a Polaroid - I'm loving this framelits set. I then cut some Quatrefancy dsp for my banner & stamped a sentiment that says

Leaving to have a Baby Curtain Call

Recently a colleague at work left to have a baby, I created a lovely baby grow card which I had seen on Pinterest. I then saw  Curtain Call Challenge  and thought I would show you want I had made. The inspiration from Curtain Call is as follows: Here is what I came up with: I used pistachio pudding designer paper stack and used some pool party card stock to accent the arms, legs and neck area. I then had a mental block as I was unsure what sort of sentiment to put on. I asked another colleague and they said just put Good Luck & Best Wishes. So I was like I don't have a stamp big enough...Ding (light bulb moment)!! I can use MDS (My Digital Studio) so that is what I did and created this fantastic looking bib. I printed it onto Naturals White, I was really impressed with the colours. Here is a picture of the card stood up:  Thanks for stopping by, hopefully see you soon! I'm sorry I've been quiet recently. x Jessie B x Recipe: Pape

For you

I saw the great colour combination at Colour Q   and wanted to take part, I wanted to combine it with a sketch, but it took me a while to locate one so i popped over to  Mojo Monday Here is the Colour inspiration: And the sketch: Here is what I came up with: I stamped the background piece with the petal parade stamp set that is available during Sale-a-Bration when you spend £45. I have seen loads of people do the one sheet wonder technique and have been enjoying doing it recently, this stamp set really works for this. I wanted to use the Simple Stem set that is available in the occasions catty, but wasn't sure where to start. I original stamped the flower that co-ordinates with the Secret Garden Framelits, I didn't know how to then incorporate it on my project. I then thought I can use white embossing powder on real red card stock and used the delicate doilies stamp set, punched with the 2 1/2" circle. I then got some pacific point card stock a

You make me happy!

I have just had my stamping class and thought I would pop and share one of the cards we made. I came across the  The Paper Players  colour challenge for last week: I missed the cut off to put in for the challenge, but thought it was a great colour combination to use so this is what I came up with: Here is a close up of the sentiment and a close up of the pearls:  Here is a snap shot of the arrows and stamped mosaic background: The class I ran was using the stamp set 'Hello Lovely' which I got at Convention in November, I haven't really played with it but I did some searching on Pinterest and found a few ideas. This one came from Wendy Weixler's  blog I just adapted it slightly: Here are the supplies used: Stamps: Hello Lovely Inks: Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry, Pear Pizzazz, Primrose Petals Paper: Afternoon Picnic DSP, Pear Pizzazz C/S, Primrose Petals C/S, Very Vanilla C/S Accessories: Pearl Rhinestones Tools: Envelope

Banner Blast says Hi!

Hi all! Today, I have been at my Stampin' Up! training day with other demonstrators, learning new techniques and getting inspiration from others. I then signed up to do an inspiration at our next quarterly meeting. I then had to leave early due to having Messy Church at the Church I attend, so a very busy day. But I had to pop in and show you the swap I did for the other demonstrators. I used the sketch from  Freshly Made Sketches I combined it with this weeks Colour Q  challenge: Here is what I created: I changed the colours slightly to current Stampin' Up! Colours, so I used Rapberry Ripple for Bravo Burgundy and Real Red for Poppy Parade. I cut my Summer Starfruit base and added Whisper White card stock, I then cut some Raspberry Ripple card stock and used an  up and coming Sale-a-Bration item (available from the end of the month in the UK), the decorative dots Embossing Folder. I then cut some Whisper White card stock and stamped basic grey with
